Ahem, just a quick little post today to parade another brand new wallpaper I just made.

This time, its the silver haired wannabe starlet tsundere turned shock-trooper, Edy Nelson! Check her out:
And yep, she’s a minor character in Valkyria Chronicles. Well, sort of. Out of all the minor characters/recruitable units, I hear that she was actually popular enough for them to do an extra downloadable content mission featuring her in the game.
Though of course, I haven’t played the game, merely seen the anime, where she is mostly background material. Despite that, I obviously still managed to target her, based purely on the twintails, because of course my tsundere love is probably off the scale. I also laughed under the thought that, had Valkyria Chronicles have been a Snes game or something, then I can see Edy being quite literally a pallette swap of Alicia, rather than just a similar design.
As for the wallpaper, yup, its a filmstrip theme one again, which is one of my favourite types of wallpaper to do, as you can cram alot of goodness into that sepia strip. I also enjoyed making the background as ‘watercolour’ like as possible without resorting to photoshop filters too much. Despite the beach scene being a fairly stock photo, I think I managed to make it decent and make it seem like the sitting Edy is fairly well matched to it as the background piece. Various parts of the filmstrip are caps from the OP and ED of the anime, by the way.
